What are the rules?

Hey everyone, if you're confused about the controversial call in the Sept 4, 2011 game between the Florida Marlins and the Philadelphia Phillies, you are not alone. Briefly, the umpires reviewed a video of a play that was marred by spectator interference – and reversed their original call! Note that the Official Rules of Major League Baseball do not mention instant replays or video reviews by umpires.
